Wheat is believed to have originated in the Fertile Crescent, a region in the Middle East that extends from Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon to Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran.
The outermost coating of a wheat grain kernel is called wheat bran. During milling, it becomes isolated from the inner layers. It's high in both soluble and insoluble fibre.
Wheat bran contains laxative properties. Furthermore, it has minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, lipids, and carbs.
